EPHESIANS 5:15-21 ...BUT BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Ephesians 4:15-21
15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Notes: As children of God we are to make use of every opportunity . The days are evil and the devil prowls like a lion looking for someone to devour(1 Peter 5:8) To overcome any situation we need to be filled by the Holy Spirit i.e completely heed to the convictions of the Holy Spirit. He should control all the areas of our life and in this way we understand God’s will for us. We have been gifted with the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation but we can filled with Him when we surrender our lives to His guidance and control. Let us use each opportunity to encourage one another with Psalms and hymns. Let us reflect the Christ that dwells in us in all that we do. Above all let us thank Him for everything because we know He works for the good of those who love Him (Rom 8:28)

Prayer : Abba Father, I surrender myself to you. Enable me to empty me of myself and be filled with you. Let me yield to your Holy Spirit in all walks of my life. Enable me to operate on your wisdom and not on my thoughts. Let my actions and words be controlled by you alone and above all I thank you for everything you are doing in my life and I seek your blessings to share this joy with many more.
In Jesus’ precious name

AMEN
